Brisbane Marathon Road Closures - Sunday, 7 June

Dear Residents,

Please be advised that the 2026 EVA Air Brisbane Marathon Festival will take place on Sunday, 7 June 2026.

As part of the event, there will be significant road closures and changed traffic conditions across Brisbane City, New Farm, Kangaroo Point and Teneriffe.

Roads close to River Place that may be affected include:

• Boundary Street

• Ivory Street

• Ivory Street Tunnel

• New Farm Riverwalk

• Bowen Terrace

• Brunswick Street

• Moray Street

• Merthyr Road

• Lamington Street

• Sydney Street

• Welsby Street / Gray Street

Some closures may begin from approximately 3:30 AM to 4:30 AM, with traffic impacts expected to continue through to around 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM, depending on the location.

Residents are kindly encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and check road access before leaving or returning to River Place on the day.
