Service Description
All residents must obtain written approval from the Body Corporate before keeping a pet in their apartment. Important Requirements: Applications will only be considered if all required documents are provided. Written consent from the lot owner is required if the applicant is a tenant. Approval applies only to the specific pet listed. It does not transfer to new or replacement pets. Required Information & Attachments: Type of animal (dog, cat, etc.) Photograph of the pet Microchip evidence (dogs & cats) Current vaccination certificate Registration number (dogs) Desexing confirmation (if applicable) Breed, age, height, and weight (for dogs) If tenant: written permission from lot owner
Cancellation Policy
1. Eligibility & Approval No animal may be kept at River Place without prior written Body Corporate approval (By-Law 13.1). Tenants must provide written consent from the lot owner before Body Corporate will consider an application (By-Law 13.2). Approval is specific to the named pet and cannot be transferred to additional or replacement pets (By-Law 13.3). 2. Conditions of Approval (By-Law 13.6) If approved, the following conditions apply: The animal must remain within the lot and not roam common areas or other lots. The animal may traverse common property only when being brought onto or off scheme land, and must be in a carrier or restrained. When using a lift, the animal must be carried or kept on a short leash. Animals are not permitted in the foyer. All litter and waste must be disposed of promptly and hygienically. Waste placed in B2 bins must be double-bagged. The garbage chute must not be used. The animal must not create noise or nuisance affecting other residents’ enjoyment of their lots or common property. Owners must take reasonable steps to reduce allergens, e.g. vacuuming regularly. Dogs must be registered with the local council. The animal must be kept in good health and free from fleas and parasites. 3. Resident Responsibilities Owners must ensure their pet does not cause nuisance, injury, or damage. All Body Corporate By-Laws must be observed at all times. Residents indemnify the Body Corporate against any loss or damage caused by their pet. 4. Acknowledgement By submitting a Pet Application, the resident confirms they have read and understood the above conditions and agree to abide by them.
