BBQ Area & Multi-Purpose Room

Cancellation Policy

The BBQ Area and Multi-Purpose Room must be booked in advance through the River Place booking system. Bookings are limited to a maximum of 4 hours and must conclude, with the area cleaned and vacated, by 10:00 pm. The resident making the booking must remain in attendance for the full duration. A maximum of 20 guests is permitted. A refundable deposit is required before use. For the BBQ Area, the deposit is $50 for up to 10 guests and $100 for 11 to 20 guests. For the Multi-Purpose Room, a $200 deposit is required for key use and cleaning. Deposits will only be refunded after inspection if the area is left clean, undamaged, and in good order. Any cleaning, rubbish removal, repair, or replacement costs may be deducted or the deposit forfeited. Keys must be collected from Reception during office hours only: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Keys must be returned promptly after use. Residents must leave the area in the same clean condition in which it was found. All rubbish must be removed and taken to the B2 refuse area. Noise must be kept to a minimum and comply with the River Place By-Laws. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all common areas, including the BBQ Area and Multi-Purpose Room. Music systems and unauthorised electrical appliances are not permitted. Residents and guests must follow all instructions from Management or Security. For safety, the water feature is strictly out of bounds. Before leaving, residents must ensure sliding and BBQ doors are closed and locked where applicable, and the gas is turned off at the bottle. Residents are responsible for the behaviour of their guests and for any damage caused during the booking. Non-compliance may result in loss of deposit, refusal of future bookings, and further action under the River Place By-Laws.
